June 5-12, 2006

Ready for a change of pace? Put down your school books and pick up a hammer & prayer- rope!

We won’t be working on the church at night as Saint Xenia did, but we do invite all inspired High School and College youth between the ages of 15 and 30 to help rebuild the church at St. Xenia Skete in Wildwood, California, this coming June.

Arrival: Monday, June 5. A shuttle van will ferry pilgrims to and from nearby airports and bus stations when needed. (Sacramento is the closest airport.)

For the next five days, we will join the nuns and monks in daily prayer and labor, improving the Skete buildings and grounds. Young women will stay at St. Xenia Skete. Young men will stay at the nearby St. Herman Monastery. The late spring weather should be just right – between winter snows and summer heat. Expect a few surprises! (How about a dip in the Mad River or a visit to Beegum Gorge?)

Departure: Monday, June 12 -- after celebrating the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the joyous Feast of Pentecost the previous Saturday night and Sunday, June 10-11. Can’t stay the whole week? That’s okay. Let us know what days you can be with us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you! But, register now, space is limited!

To Register, contact:
